For students primarily interested in completing the training required to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License.

Online Basic CWL training video.

ADVANCED ONLINE CONCEALED CARRY COURSE — $85

For students who want the permit training plus considerably more practical information about concealed carry and personal defense.

A substantially longer and more comprehensive training video.
Additional practical concealed-carry and personal-defense instruction.
Watch the video as many times as you need.
30-question multiple-choice and True/False written test.
Retake the test as many times as necessary until you pass.
Required live-fire test completed separately with your instructor.
Certificate after successful completion.
$20 credit toward any additional CCW Training Academy class you choose.

If you plan to continue training with me, the Advanced course gives you considerably more instruction now, and the additional $20 you spend becomes a $20 credit toward any additional class you choose.

How the Online Concealed Carry Class Works

Blended training lets you complete the classroom portion of your Florida concealed carry training from home instead of spending hours sitting in a classroom.

You work through the online training at your own pace. When you're ready, you take the online written test. After successfully completing the online portion, you complete the required live-fire test separately with your instructor.

This gives you the convenience of online learning while still completing the required live-fire portion in person.

Take Your Time — There's No Need to Rush

One of the advantages of online training is that you control the pace. If there's something you don't completely understand the first time, go back and watch it again.

You can watch the training video as many times as necessary.

You don't have to absorb everything in one sitting. Review the material until you're comfortable with it, then take the test.

What Is the Online Test Like?

The written test contains 30 questions based on the material covered in the course. The questions are multiple choice and True/False.

You need a score of 80% — 24 correct answers out of 30 — to pass.

If you don't pass the first time, don't worry. You can review the video and retake the test as many times as necessary until you pass.

The purpose of the test is to make sure you understand the important material—not to trick you with unnecessarily difficult questions.

What Happens After I Pass?

After successfully completing the online portion, the next step is to complete your required live-fire test separately with your instructor.

You may complete the live-fire test with your own handgun, or I will provide a handgun and the 10 rounds of ammunition needed for the test at no additional charge.

If you don't have eye and ear protection, I'll provide that for you as well.

The range fee is paid separately directly to the range.

You'll receive instructions for scheduling your live-fire test after you successfully complete the online portion.

Basic or Advanced — Which Should I Choose?

Choose Basic — $65

The Basic course is ideal if your primary goal is to complete the online classroom portion efficiently and learn the essential material needed for your Florida concealed carry training.

Choose Advanced — $85

The Advanced course goes beyond the basic permit material with considerably more information about practical concealed carry and personal defense.

The Advanced video is substantially longer and contains additional training that isn't included in the Basic course.

Students who later want hands-on defensive skills can continue into courses such as Tactical Pistol I and Tactical Pistol II.

And there's another important benefit: you receive a $20 credit toward any additional CCW Training Academy class you choose.

That means if you continue your training with me, the additional $20 you paid for the Advanced course comes back to you as a credit toward your next class.

Whichever option you select, the online concealed carry class allows you to complete the classroom portion at your own pace before completing the required live-fire test.
