Alan B. Densky is a former deputy sheriff and Florida concealed carry instructor whose commitment to self-defense began long before law enforcement. His father, a U.S. Army Gunnery Sergeant, taught him safe gun handling, discipline, and personal responsibility.
By age 12, Alan was already shooting his Marlin .22 rifle in the family’s wooded backyard, practicing precision drills that built patience and confidence.
During his years as a Collier County Deputy Sheriff, Alan maintained a private backyard range where he reloaded and fired 1,000 rounds per day. This intensive practice refined the fast‑draw defensive skills he teaches today. Friends, neighbors, and fellow deputies often trained with him in the same supportive environment he now recreates for students.
Today, Alan is recognized as an Elite Tier 1 civilian self‑defense firearms instructor serving North Central Florida.

Alan attended the police academy at the S.E. Florida Institute of Criminal Justice, where he studied Florida law, defensive tactics, and the lawful use of force.

One occurred during a nighttime intrusion at his home; another during an undercover operation where he disarmed an assailant at extremely close range.
